Thread: Atheists: what's the best way to handle a friendly debate with a creationist when

Take a nap. You will never change their mind. The debate will stay friendly for a short period of time only. If the person is a friend don't even start discussing religion, politics or sex.

Resistance is futile : ) Belief's got nothing to do with logic. If you think it's entertaining, take the debate. If it get's on your nerves, ignore them.

Just walk away ... you can't win with them. They don't have the brain capacity.


That same thing just happened to me last week with some "Born Again" contractor who comes into my office twice a day ... it devolved into both of us getting angry and "I'm right, YOU'RE wrong" ... back and forth, back and forth.

I had to call him a "simple-minded moron" (he IS the "trailer-park" type who enjoys fart jokes and such) to get him to back off ... didn't get me anywhere. And now I'm sure I've got him all "fired up" about how to "win my heart for God" ... (puking in mouth)

That's just GREAT.
