Do liberals know the difference between climate change and global warming?

The liberal logic goes like this:

Emission of carbon dioxide causes greenhouse effect.
The said effect must manifest itself as global warming.
Thus to prevent global warming we must decrease carbon dioxide emissions.
But scientists detect no global warming at all, so lets use the term "climate change".
The "climate change" is scary enough to our keep our liberal voters in fear of god.
Since there is no "global warming", lets use "climate change".

But greenhouse effect allegedly produced by CO2 should result in "global warming", not merely in "climate change", right? Warming is warming, change is change.

How do you link CO2 to "climate change" if the link is missing in the chain
CO2 -> greenhouse effect -> global warming -> climate change?

Oh, never mind. Carbon dioxide was already vilified, lets now make our classical trick of bait and switch.

Just curious as to why you would say that no global warming has occurred. This is absurd.

Since you live way up north in the land of the polar bears and abstinence, why don't you look out the window over toward Russia and see for yourself.

Well, we will just have to see then.
Just like the NWO and 2012. Both of those are completely ridiculous, but people on the right can't get enough of them.

But if there was no global warming, why are the polar bears up north drowning? Where has all the ice gone?
ZOMG! Maybe the Republicans are hoarding it all and selling them off in convenience stores.

hehe Go ahead and thumb me down! =D

    uhh where to begin

global warming IS occurring - it occurs on a massive cycle every 40,000 years or so naturally due to the fact that the earth is tilted on its orbit around the sun, and that the orbit is not exactly round

(unless you also deny that the earth orbits the sun ? - I can't be sure judging from your naievete)

    global warming does exist

the matter of dispute is whether the massive amounts of additional carbon gasses released into the atmosphere from burning fossil fuels (which were underground - and before that they were dinosaurs which decomposed into fossil fuels - hence the 'fossil' name (unless you don't believe in dinosaurs either? I can't be quite sure...))
has an EFFECT on global warming

Carbon gasses are lighter than most other gasses - so they float to the top of the atmosphere that is held around the earth by gravity and a few other factors
Carbon gasses trap infrared radiation inside of the earth's atmosphere

the earth in stasis without intervention goes through these trapping gas and cooling and warming phases on its own
since we humans have been releasing these massive and unanticipated amounts of carbon gasses it is throwing that system off kilter

but I would guess that at about this point you're going "la la la can't hear you la la la" with your fingers over your ears

the fact that some deny global warming is occurring is because they (and their party) are part and parcel to blame largely for the issue

it's like the child with the broken cookie jar at their feet and chocolate stained lips - "what cookies? there were no cookies! just because you CLAIM there were cookies does not make it so! see? and here is my chocolate-lip-stained friend Joey who ALSO says there were no cookies! so obviously you're wrong!"

the answer below mine has it DEAD ON TARGET --->

Evolution son. Just because you can't prove it does not mean you can't call it a fact. After all we were breeding animals long before Darwin so we know things change, just insert a cause and tell people to disprove it and you have it made.

The new math does point to climate increase based on natural cycles of the environment. However, I believe that the carbon base statistics were grossly overrated but they still have some significance and value.

Years ago we were told that the planet was cooling and that we were due to have another Ice AGe.

In the past 20 years the left has pushed global warming and now that they have no definitive proof of warming they are adopting the climate change.

Ok it is changing, this is the natural long term cycle of the earth. If it is cooling and the "science??" of warming is CO2 then how does CO2 play into climate change and global cooling? They cannot make that leap and stay credible. They will try but based on their own formula it is false.

There is no difference... They are BOTH false...
