    Discuss the adaptations that have enbaled flowering plants.....?

    to overcome the following problems associated with life on land:

    a) the absence of an aquatic enviroment for reporduction:

    b) the absence of an aquatic enviroment to support the plant body:

    c) dehydration of the plant:

    a) Various modes of pollination,such as, wind , insects, spiders ,birds. Also various methods of seed dispersal, including: wind , animals, some even have an explosive burst
    of seeds, even water (coconut palm).

    b)Terrestrial plant stems are composed of various supporting tissues, including; xylem (wood), collenchyma & sclerenchyma,
    and lignin.

    c) Conifers (cone bearers) have "needles" for leaves to reduce surface area for loss by evaporation, Stomates can close to reduce transpiration. Developed good vascular tissue.Bark or thick epidermis covers
    the stem to prevent dissication. Some leaves have a waxy "cuticle."
