A friend and I both agree that if we owned a gas station, if we were to pre-heat the gas in the storage tank, the gas would expand and thus dispense less fuel (by mass) per unit volume, thus increasing profit margin.
I proposed that instead (or in addition to), the stored gas should be pressurized, so that when the gas is dispensed in the car it is very cold, thereby forcing the driver to buy more gas to fill the tank (and thus making more profit by selling more gas).

Scientifically, which of these methods would make more profit? Or, is there a combination of both that would do so?
**Note -- OF course, the gas becomes very cold due to the gas de-pressurizing when it reaches the tank. The meter would measure the volume of gas in its pressurized (higher temp) state.
