    How to solve this Chemistry equation?

    So I have summer work and I'm not sure if i am doing this right, even though it's easy! Someone please tell me. This is the question:

    Specific Heat= Heat energy / (mass)X(chane in temperature)
    or

    q
    -------- =Cp
    (m)(T)

    How would the formula look if you were solving for mass (m)?

    q
    -------- = Cp
    (m)(T)

    First, multiply both sides by m so that you can get it in the numerator instead of the denominator (the top of the fraction instead of the bottom)

    q
    -------- = (Cp)(m)
    (T)

    Then divide both sides by (Cp) to isolate the (m)

    q
    -------- = m
    (T)(Cp)

    The above is the final formula and the formula you would want to use if you were trying to solve for m

    That couldn't be more simple , I am surprised that you are asking this.

    Mass= (Heat Energy) /(Specific Heat x change in temperature)

    m= q/ Cp x T

    The formulae would b

    m= Q/c * C

    ie
    heat absorbed <divided by> specific heat capacity*rise in temperature.

    mark the answer as best answer.
