Why do peope who don't understand science assume they can debate scientists?

I have phd's and different science degrees..they dont mean crap if what they are studying is wrong...God bless

Science and the scientific method are actually transparent, and meant to be understood by anyone who takes the time to educate themselves about the material. It's one of the building blocks pf science.

However, the key there is that they actually have to educate themselves and learn something before they are capable of debating it. It would be like me saying how terrible George Orwell's 1984 is, despite never having read the book. My entire opinion comes from Orwells arch rival who doesn't like nor cares about his writing, who tells me what to think.

So yeah. As someone once said, if there is anyone who is best fit to refute 150 years of some of the greatest scientific discoveries in human history, it's a washed-up born-again Evangelical Christian child actor with a tv-friend named B.oner.

And for posterity and clarity, I have *never* met, spoken to, or seen a Creationist who was remotely educated on Evolution. What does that say about Creationism?

They think that their holy book has all the answers anyone will ever need, and anyone who discovers anything that contradicts the words of their book is not only wrong but evil.

They are arrogant, provincial, xenophobic, and utterly full of themselves.

We need some TV watching and potato chip eating scientists. If you are talking about evolution pseudo-scientists the PhD just means "piled higher and deeper". That is what I thing (think) about it.

Arrogance and ignorance - pure and simple. They are convinced they are right so don't confuse them with the facts as they have already made up their minds. Sad but true.
