Why do news media keep calling the event in Honduras a military Coup?

The government hasn't changed. The military is not running the country. The Congress and Supreme Court determined that Pres. Zelaya was in violation of the law and ordered him to step down. He refused, so the Supreme Court ordered the Military to do their duty. They did.
The next in succession for the Presidency was sworn in, and he belongs to the same political party as Zelaya. Does that sound like a coup?
It was Zelaya who was trying to remove and re-write the Constitution, and not through the proper procedures either. He wanted to do it unilaterally, and do it his way. THAT was the Coup Attempt, which Honduras managed to stop.
Shouldn't we be congratulating Honduras for defending its Constitution?

Yep, in this case the media is pretty stupid. Chavez is behind all of this. He wants to be the chief dictator over all of South and Central America.

Because it is much easier to say military coup than what you just said. Remember, the news doesn't care much for the facts.
