Are there any thirteen year old authors out there?!?

Hey everyone, I'm thirteen, but even at my age I'm told that I can be quite literate, intelligent and above all mature for someone who's just started High School. I know my grammar is awful and my punctuation may not be too good, but it's always been my dream to be an author.

I know, I know. There's hundred's among thousands among MILLIONS that wish the same thing as I do, but is it really possible to be an author at my age; at thirteen I mean to say? Are there any thirteen year old author's with books already published? If so please tell me, I'd be most grateful.

Thanks for reading and it would be much appreciated if you could answer this,

    much love,
    ♥♥♥
    xoxo
    Love L.J.

    Of course there are!

There have been a few 12 year olds, nevermind 13, who have published books and became young authors. If you have the talent, want it really badly and are willing to work your ass off, then there's nothing able to stop you from publishing a book!

Your grammer and punctuation is fine, seriously. It could possibly even be better than my own.

Just keep writing. If you have a good idea, a great story and the endurance to push through rejections and critics, then you'll be a good author yet.

Good luck and have fun writing.

It is unlikely, but not impossible. The youngest published author in the world was just seven years old when their first book was published. However, you need to keep in mind that to be published you must first write a novel. And even then, the chances of a writer of any age having a book published are quite slim. I am not saying that you WONT be a published author one day, but reality all writers face is long hours in front of the computer and a seemingly endless string of rejection slips. Work hard, love what you do and try to be the best writer that you can be.
