How do you tighten a bicycle chain?

My bicycle chain is very loose. I loosened the nut, pulled the chain back, and tightened the nut. The chain was still loose!

You're chain may be worn out. Some parts in the chain will begin to kink after a while and cause the chain not to hang on right.

Depending on the bike you need to loosen the brake arm before you pull the wheel back. Otherwise the left side wont move.
