Melted butter in chocolate chip cooking dough?

I mistakenly melted the butter before adding it to a chocolate chip cookie recipe, now the cookie dough won't shape up as it's supposed to, and the cookies practically melt together on the cookie sheet when I bake them. Would adding flour help, or do I need to add "unmelted" butter?

No do not add any more butter. Just try adding another 1/4 to 1/2 cup of flour.

I would chill the cookie dough for about one hour and you should be fine. I wouldn't add flour because that would make the cookies tough.
    Good luck.

Chill your cookie dough for about 2 hours before trying to spoon the cookies onto your baking sheets.

After the dough is chilled, you may need to add more flour, but not before then, PLEASE!!!
