When it starts to get dark, the lights on my car sometime turn off. The car is an 02 impala.
I've tried turning them on manually (turning the switch all the way up), but they don't come on. This normally only happens at night time (and its only been happening for maybe 2 months). It makes it impossible to read the dash and stereo, and I've been told my lights are off by other people.
Any clue what this could be?

Sounds like the dimmer control switch is bad. Hate to say it, but take it to your local mechanic or dealer and have them test the system. Good luck!
