Thread: where can i read the official site law of age of consent in maryland?

i keep hearing all kinds of things. i hear 16 is the age of consent. but i also hear if your 16 you can only have sex with a max age of 20. then i hear 16 can legally have sex with any age. been looking all over the maryland.gov website. no offence to any of you all but reguardless of what ya tell me still how can i be 100%? i want to read the law on an offical website. i cannot find it anywhere. anyone know?

You will need to look at subtitle 3, Sexual Crimes.

Each of the classifications of crime will speak of age. For example, Rape in the second degree indicates, with respect to age, specifically that:

(3) if the victim is under the age of 14 years, and the person performing the act is at least 4 years older than the victim.
