what would cause a humming sound between 30-50 mph on a 2003 Chrysler Sebring?

The noise kind of gets lost in the road noise after 60 mph. I can't hear it if I roll down the window. it seems to be coming from the driver's side of the car. There isn't any vibration or additional play in the steering. There's still plenty of tread on the tires. Could it be the speedo cable? Wheel bearings?
the sound doesn't change when I turn, tires rotate every oil change (3,000 mi)

that sounds like a tire noise. if your not rotating them every 5000 then their is your problem and solution

With a wheel bearing it usually howls more when you turn the wheel one way or another. It can do this this going straight down the road also.

    I would say wheel bearing.
