Air Induction Question Honda S2000, Why No Noise?

I own a Honda S2000 and the previous owner fitted a K&N Induction Kit to it.

A friend of mine owns a 2.5V6 Vauxhall Vectra that has an induction kit and when he accelerates the car makes a great Wooshing noise as the induction sucks air in. My S2K makes no different noise to a 'stock' model when accelerating. Can anyone give me any guidance on why this is? Could it be that I need to drop a different air filter into the induction to achieve the louder noise?

Any help will be greatly appreciated but could you only answer if you have any experience with this sort of thing. Links to websites are no good, an explanation in Layman's terms is what i'm after.
