No, your betta should be ok. Just make sure you do water changes about once a week. Betta's are pretty hardy fish. If you want him to live long, you should put him in a 5 gallon tank with a filter but they can live in bowls. Good luck!!!

I just got my betta fish yesterday and I bought betta water today. So I put the water in the bowl and put the fish in. The water looks a little dirty an I'm scared he's gonna die..... Pls tell!!! And if it's dirty what do i do??? Pls tell me I'm scared

Bowls are for cereal. Fish should be kept in aquariums. Bettas should be in a 2.5 gallon minimum, heated, filtered tank. The dirty water is due to lack of proper establishment of the nitrogen cycle. Please do your research before you get any pet.
