I Need To Make Changes With VLC Media Player?

Ok i use VLC Media Player, When i start this certain video the audio type comes out on 5.1, And i don't know what that means but the audio does shoot out, But it's very... very low, So i change it to " 2 front 2 rear " And the audio comes out fine. But i plan on putting it on a USB to show my friend on mine or his PS3, And when i change it to " 2front 2rear " it will stay playing like that, But once i move it to the USB it changes back to 5.1. So i want to know how to make the " 2front 2rear " the default audio type. Anyone help O_O?
