Why are you people trying to make that an exclusive "left" and "liberal" issue? Did you know that most on the left are not for war period? And that they wish that Obama could just snatch all the troops out immediately and bring them home but they know its not that simple. The left wasn't the warmongers when Bush was in office. That was mostly the cons who wanted to act like John Wayne and go and blow up all the 'big meanies' in Iraq. The innocent women and children and the whole lot of "towelheads". All based on a huge lie from the Bush admin.

Progressives (the left wing of the Democratic party) want Obama to pull out of Iraq and Afghanistan. It's the right wing hawks in the party that believe in more war. They along with pro-war GOP neo-cons have a vested interest in the military industrial corporate complex in keeping the war going.

Obama isn't the most liberal president ever. Sorry, but he is running the country from the center right, not the left. He has gone so far to the right that Progressives are extremely disappointed in him already. Trust me, if he keeps this up, he will lose in 2012.

And to answer your point about Obama, he said before he was elected that he would concentrate on Afghanistan. And loads are against this saying that we should get the troops out.
