What is your culture / background and can you give some information about it?

If possible, can you describe and post links of traditional dress, dance, song, food, drink, etiquette and any other customs of your people.
    Thanks.

Sure I am pathan as you well know lol.

We have three things which we are FAMOUS for.

    1) Hospitality, if you are the guest of a pathan, you are looked after very well, your honour is safe gaurded and nobody will bother you. This is even true if you are a person who has many enemies, so we are also known for our asylum, we will provide asylum to anyone seeking it. They will remain under the protection of the pashtoon people, until there is evidence of their guilt.

    2) Property and Family - these are two things which must be protect at ALL times, they are not to be dishonoured nor are they to be put in harms way.

    3) Revenge - if we are wronged, then revenge is sought. This is why pashtoon people do not want to bother each other, because it will lead to fueds which will last for generations.

As for our food, it is very similar to Indian/pakistani food, only it tastes a whole lot better (IMO)

We have traditional dance (which is gay IMO) and traditional music, most "pashto music" contains no "music" in it, unless it has a special type of guitar, I forget what its called. But pashto cultures and tradition are strongly based on Islaam, therefore music is generally excluded from our "music"

I could write forever but will stop here.

    Share a little about yours.

I'm old American (pre-Revolutionary) with English, Irish, Welsh, German, Swiss, and French ancestors. Our family has been away from the Olde Countries so long that they doesn't have much effect on our lives.

Could this possibly be a homework question?
