omg I have the PERFECT thing for you!
Self publish for FREE!!
www.lulu.com
Then you can sell it to independent book stores, your friends, families, etc, etc.
I've used it before, and LOVE it!!
Consult "The Writers Marketplace". Most public libraries have a copy of this book. Among other things, it has a list of publishers and their requirements.
Listen to Kathryn.
Michael doesn't know what he's talking about. Self-publishing is not the way to go; unless you only want a few copies of the book. Bookstores do not accept books that have been self-published, because ANYONE can selfpublish. That being said, the majority of it is junk that was rejected from actual publishers.
Research the best publishers for your genre; some only accept certain genres and styles. Find the best publisher for your manuscript.
I think you also need to research the process of publication some more before you go about this; you' certainly benefit from it.
Good luck.
