Okay I am doing a word of mouth exam on the book "One flew over the Cuckoo's nest" By Ken Kesey and just needed a few questions answered.

1. The author's purpose in writing the novel and the techniques used to achieve this purpose (including narrative technique, symbolism and imagery).

2. The role and representations of various characters and institutions in the novel.

3. The key ideas that are foregrounded in the novel.

4.The social context in which the novel was first released and the impact this may have had on the writing of the novel and the way in which it was received.

Thanks, any and all replies will be much appreciated.

And some links to sites containing information that may help in me answering some of these questions would also be much appreciated.

Thankyou!
