    How does gender relations influence body image and the development of eating disorders?

    if women think that their success is based on their ability to attract and please a successful man, then there is more emphasis placed on physical appearance.

    Also pressure from the media convince both genders their bodies aren't good enough by putting out photo shoped images on movie stars bodies.

    welll in my psychology class we learned that it does play a small part but about just as many men have eating disorders as women i just think that we dont see it as quick as we do on women and women have a lot of pressure to be skinny because of all the images out in the world its like they are skinny and everybody likes them so if im skinny people will like me to but it goes both ways

    Because women desire to be loved more than anything else in this world. And if being loved means being attractive. They will make being attractive a full time job regardless of the consequences.
