Facebook chat total bug?

This happens a lot - I login and see in the bottom right Chat (6). Then when I click it I see Chat (4) and 4 people listed. Question is what happened to the other 2?? Were the 2 missing because they were using some kind of hack to appear invisible in chat?

Mine does it all the time, and sometimes your chatting and another box pops up that will not be x ed and i have to log out and in to get rid of it ttl does my head in

Oh it happens to everyone. Its just lag.

This is only a glitch which you might be able to fix with a software update.

Sometimes, it is a bug in the system, and there really is 6 people on. Other times, maybe two people logged off.
there is no hack to get "invisible" but if you go to the little tab that shows who's online and click settings, you can choose to "go offline"
