Bad IAC Valve, can i install a new one myself?? Honda Civic?

A repair shop said i need a new iac valve, and the parts really expensive, they wanna charge me 480 for it installed. I drive a 98 Honda Civic. Can I install this myself to save money? They said it needs a warm up time or something and that it has to be calibrated to the cars computer and its not a sensor you can put on yourself...is this true?

2 bolts on the side of the throttle body sure u can change it it just needs a drive cycle to sync to the pcm so drive it for a bit after you change it but its not hard to fix
