    "Photoshop is for lazy artists"?

My dad made this claim and I was kind of offended, because to get to where my skill is at in Photoshop use, I have had to commit a lot of time to the practice of technique with the program. Furthermore, I believe that I can do most of what I can with photoshop by hand, but I choose to use photoshop for my coloring etc. because it is convenient and fun to use.

    What are your guys' thoughts?

Horses for courses really. I use PS a lot, but a while back had to do a portrait in pencil for someone. How strange it was when I did a bit wrong and my first reaction was to hit undo, only there wasn't one! My advice is to do both, keep your irons in both fires.
