Well I'm getting the Motorola Q in a few days, and I am on alltel prepaid.. i was just wondering if there was a way I could put it on a prepaid plan, with out them telling me no? Such as, just changing it over the internet on my account through alltel, that way I pretty much activate it myself, with out the help of a customer service helper. I understand about the data usage, if I purchased 30days of internet each month, would that cover the data that is being used after hours ? Like, with alltel prepaids internet, it costs you data during the day, but if you have the internet pass and use it after 9pm, or on the weekends, you dont' get charged data.. would this work? I heard you are able to turn off "automatic updates" through the phones menu..
Okay and if none of this is possible , I am just going to go w/ pageplus, they have a good deal and activate smart phones, and i'd still be on the "verizon/alltel" network
I don't think they do.. on my alltel prepaid account, to switch phones all I have to do is put the esn number in, and then dial a few buttons and its activated.. i've done it before but not w/ a smart phones yet
they don't have sim cards though they are CDMA and run on ESN
No one is answering my question. I want to know if I can put this on alltel prepaid, it is an alltel phone, but it's a smart phone.
Isert the sim card i do that fro my cingular phones
