It would probably cost as much to repair as it would to buy a new one.
If it carries on for more that a few days then I would buy a new one.

A fault with Panasonic combi microwave.?

I was making a white sauce a task that I have done many, many times. Some fat that I was heating splashed out & now smoke has come from the small vented area where the oven light is. This is when when I use the oven mode. It smells of burnt fat. The oven is six years old. Do I ditch it?
Thanks folk. I have turned it onto oven mode for short spells & it has gradually burnt the fat off. I realise now that I put the fat into a wet jug causing it to splash out. Lesson to be learnt
