How do I get my Kyocera X-TC to stop beeping?

My Kyocera X-tc WILL NOT STOP BEEPING. I logged on aim through it just for 2-3 minutes, then signed off. Now it beeps at random times a lot! I tried signing on then signing off again through the phone and it still didn't work. Is there a way to get my phone to stop beeping at all?
I already tried silent, it still beeps.

I did not get it wet at all.

    Try doing this
    1. turning it on silent
    2. turning off/on
    3. take the battery out and see if there is a little strip of red anywhere on the battery or on the phone. If there is, that means you got got your phone wet and screwed it up

Had the same problem but with yahoo. I finally got it to stop beeping by going in and clearing all the im I had on the yahoo server. Then I pulled out the battery and restarted my phone. No more beeping.
