Yesterday's News Cat Litter - Does it smell?

Does Yesterday's News litter have much for a smell? What kind of smell? I don't want to waste $15 on a bag and hate it.

I'm currently using Feline Pine/Pine Pellets. Have used the stuff for years but now that I'm living in a tiny, tiny studio apartment with a litter box just feet away from my bed... I don't want to smell the litter. The crap doesn't smell much.... It's the litter I'm smelling when he kicks it all around. Whether I use the regular hooded box or the Litter Maid box.

And please don't recommend SwheatScoop or World's Best.. hated those smells. I liked the pine just not in this small of a a space.

When it gets damp it smells like wet newspaper - pulp - a very unpleasant smell.

Why not use wood stove pellets? They totally neutralize the urine odor and are an eighth of the cost of Feline Pine - and the exact same thing. You can find them at home stores during cooler months and year round at farm/feed stores for about $4 for a 40 pound bag.

You should scoop the poop daily and dump the pan out about once a week. The only thing you'll smell is a light pine scent. Definitely a better smell than any other litter - AND far cheaper.
