...Who here likes to go camping? Ya I know, funny time of year to talk about it. We have Stellar's Jays here and their call reminds me of camping, so I thought I'd toss the Q out there. What sounds remind you of camping. And is it tent, trailer our just plain under the stars. Me, I'm done tenting it, my bones hurt too much on the hard ground and my air mattress always goes flat! Oh, and where is your favorite place? We have both woods and the ocean so I like to go to both.

As a youth in scouting we were very avid campers. Southern California gave us the beach and mountains both. In the army, I camped also. Unfortunately one of my children was severely asthmatic and we had to stop. I always preferred camping on my boat. The mosquitoes were bad, but sleeping on the boat is heaven !
