...for about 10 sec? then the picture is normal for 5 sec and then its black. i can still hear sound but no picture. does anyone know why it does this? is it fixable?

when i turn on my lcd tv a sanyo vizion, it keeps doing this strobe effect...

Sounds like a bad backlight. The notorious fluorescent light flicker. You can look into getting it fixed, but it may be a bit expensive.
