I am on vodafone but have just changed to orange, can i use my orange sim in my phone...

I heard with orange you have to register the sim card before use. I remember my friend recently got a new orange phone and it required registering.

But if you are talking about using an orange sim in a vodafone phone, it will no doubt be locked to vodafone so you'll have to get it unlocked first.

if you bought your phone from vodafone you will need to have it unlocked before you put your orange sim in it

Wait, I did that. I changed from Meotor to Vodafone and it took a week. They normally send you a text message to tell you it's working/ switched. If you have credit and reception you're grand, but if it doesn't send it hasn't worked.

Usually, yes. If they gave you a temporary number you can use the orange. Other than that you'll have to wait until the number port has gone through to use your own number.
