Thread: '05 Honda Shadow Spirit 750 Trans Trouble. Grinding/Whining. 5,000mi.?

Last week i felt a "pop" when i downshifted into first gear, coming to a stop. Now i have a really gnarly grinding/whining,coming from the trans area, when i'm going down the road and let off the throttle, or when i downshift and let the clutch out... Anyone experienced this before? What did i break? I only have 5,000 miles on it. Never done burnouts, powershifts or anything really bad like that to it.

Ok, lets start with....
It does not matter if you did power shift or not, It shouldnt do that.
ALSO since you dont know what is wrong, it could lock up on you while driving and cause you to crash ect.... DONT DRIVE IT.
Since its new, bring it to the dealer for repair asap.
DONT 2nd GUESS THIS. We cant trouble shoot a possible safety problem from here and dont want to see you dead.
Lets hope its nothing, but take action now.
