There's a stray kitten that stops by my friends house every night, usually because they take time to give him a little food. The other night, he was okay, jumping and running around. But last night when he came over, he was only walking on his two front legs, dragging the rest of his body with him.

Me and my friend took him to an animal clinic and the lady inspected him.
She said that nothing was broken; maybe his legs were numb and then suggested to give him a shot or buy meds for it. She didn't explain much further about what kind they were, just to buy them and have the kitten use them for a week.

I'm living in the Philippines right now, and I've been here long enough to know that people tend to come up with false information.

Nothing seemed broken. The kitten wasn't wincing in pain or meowing loudly. It went about as usual, actually, just without the use of its hind legs.

What could be the reason for this?
