Ok, i have been having some firing problems with my 1989 ford f150 5.0. Sometimes as i go out and try to start it it wont fire, but it turns over fine. Then sometimes it will start up and run like their is not a problem and i can drive it anywhere i want to. But as soon as i turn it off, it wont want to fire again until a couple of hours later if im lucky. Today i was tinkering around with it and trying to get it to start, and i noticed if i let off on my clutch just enough to let get the starter to disengage it would fire if i held it in that spot it would start up, i dint know if this is a coincidence or if its my problem. Could my clutch be shorting something out as i push it in and kill the juice to my coil and distributor. I know sometimes my wires get hot around my solenoid switch.
