    Does anyone know motorized bike/moped laws?

    Hi I was wondering if you have to register a moped/motorized dirt bike if you are not planning to drive it on a busy road or anything. Like just in your neighborhood or a trail. My sister and I just want one thats under 50cc to just ride for fun, not to actually use to travel to places on busy roads. More specifically, do you know if in Maine it would be legal to have a motorized bike under 50cc and drive it unregistered(but not on busy roads) thanks
