My Place Of Solitude

When all the sounds that fill the air die not
For just a little rest my ears so crave
The joys of loneliness I soon forgot
For silence is the hallmark of the grave
What little time for solitude is best
In distant place to hide and nurse my pride
This untrue put-on face is put to rest
When virtue takes on over as my guide
But what a price to pay for all the peace
Will it be worth my while to gain myself?
That once I lost as wager in that race?
And solitude could offer me some help
My wounds shall heal, that here I found my peace
I'll not exchange this with some other place.

Buk,
From other sources, I'll take what you said as compliment, but from you, it is an honor.
Cassie58,
I know you are not just returning a compliment (lol)
