Who is your service provider? If they use CDMA, there is no sim card.

If you're with Verizon or Sprint, they are CDMA-based networks in the US - and devices on a CDMA networks do not use SIM cards (they store the equivalent information in the device's protected memory). If you would like to switch phones, you're going to need to get your network provider (i.e. Sprint) to orchestrate the switch.
