    When do you think there will be a human civilization on mars?

    Ya, I know it wont be anytime soon. I didn't ask this because I think it will happen soon.

    never (unless of course colonization becomes a common practice) mars doesn't offer a much more hospitable place then the moon does (usually less), and it's considerably farther considering the prices involved, anyone who decided to conlonize mars over the moon would be making a huge mistake.

    The first manned trip will probably be within the next 40 years. The first colonization will be within the next 200 years probably.
