Hi all, I have a 99 Toyota Camry. Passed inspection but mechanic mentioned I'd "eventually" need to replace them to extend the life of the car. Went out to my car and leaned on the hood to make it bounce and show me it squeaked a little. When I go over speed bumps I need to be pretty careful so the car doesn't scrape. Another mechanic (who hasn't physically looked at the car yet) said Toyota shocks rarely need to be replaced and a lot of places tell you that just to squeeze some extra $$ out of you because it's an expensive repair. Thoughts? I know nothing about this stuff.
