I joined the gym not to long ago and have been going 4-6 days a week for the last 2 weeks.

Basically, I really enjoy swimming as I used to swim competitively when I was younger (this is first time I have swam in years) but I also have access to cardio equipment and weights. Right now I think I prefer swimming for an hour, but would it benefit me more to use the gym equipment, or mix it up?

My goal is to first lose weight and perhaps tone up a bit, but I don't want to be super toned so yeah. Should I just swim for an hour in the morning 6 days a week, or use the gym equipment instead? Or even a mixture of both?
