    Subwoofer problems please help?!?

My subs do not hit hard and sometimes just cut out completely when volume is low or i just start my car. whenever i crank up the volume extremely, the subs start to kick in. the mono amp powering the two subs does not go into protect mode nor does it turn off, everything seems to be fine except the subs dont work like they should
i have a 4 channel amp for my speakers. when i unplug the RCAs on the four channel amp, the subs go crazy
i checked the subs and they r not blown, checked wiring and grounds
what is wrong here and has anyone else experienced this?

Sounds like they might be under powered. When its on low they arent using up a lot of voltage. But when they're turned up they need a lot of voltage and they hit like they are suppose to. Check to make sure the total RMS Watts of both subs equal the same RMS as your amp.
