Thread: '04 acura mdx transmission problem. rebuilt or used?

54K miles on car. transmission bad. should I choose rebuild $3700 & 36 mo. warranty or used $2100 & 31 mo.warranty? used has 34,000 miles on it.
i've only had the car since May. bought it used and had it inspected. no trans problems found. but made loud scraping noise when put in reverse sometimes. i have an extended warranty, but they only want to put 2K towards the repair so they want to replace with used rather than rebuild.

id go used because its cheaper and your getting basically the same thing
