No you can't. Best way to get a pay as you go iphone is to buy it through tesco(uk). Then you can pop in your vodafone sim and it'll work as normal.
You can get new cheap unlocked iphone on some auction websites

can you get the iphone on PAYG vodafone?
i was thinking about getting and iphone and was just wondering if you could get the iphone on pay as you go on vodafone, i dont want to get it on contract as i dont like it so i was just wondering can you get it on PAYG vodafone?????
