1999 Yamaha R1 ~50k miles, stock clutch as far as I know.

Went out for a ride today, about 95 degrees outside.
Clutch was operating well for the first half hour. Pull up at a stoplight and put it in neutral to wait for the light cycle. When the light turns green, I pull the clutch lever in, shift into first, and the rpms drop and the bike lurches forward. Still ridable, but not easy.

Get home and check out the adjustment. If I adjust the clutch to either of the extremes (extremely tight or a ton of slack), the bike either stalls or lurches forward, even with the lever pulled all the way in. And if it doesn't stall, the rpms are super low, and the bike tries to creep forward. Also can't shift back up from first to neutral without shutting the bike off.

Is my clutch shot? Or does this have something to do with the heat?

And for the smartasses who will say check your sidestand switch, I removed it a long time ago.
