I have bought a new cable router for the ADSL and on the installation wizard there were three options for the connection type
1. PPPo3
2. Static IP
3. Dynamic IP
So I need to know what are the differences between these types, and I use to connect to the internet by linking the modem directly to my PC, and then I enter a user name and password which were given to me from the internet provider , so on the installation wizard for the router i chose PPPo3 and i enter the user name and password and i connect to the internet successfully ,, so is this the best way to configure my router or it is better to select static IP or dynamic IP for security reasons and consistency ,, etc?
My second question; if in the future I buy a wireless router can I connect the wireless router to the cable router to connect my PC to the internet through the wireless router? if not is there a way to connect the two routers to the same modem?
Thanks
