    1995 Ford Aspire Transmission?

    why would it be slipping gear a bit in 3rd and 4th? All answers from the cheaper and expensive sides of the spectrum please. thanks
    shoot no i forgot to say it IS a 5 speed manual.

    It is an old transmission with much wear and tear. I assume it is automatic, so you might consider checking the transmission fluid and replacing it, or you may drive the car until the transmission fails. When this happens, you will have to replace the transmissions. This is common with older cars with a lot of miles.

    You may be low on fluid if it's an automatic, but I would say the transmission is in need of an overhaul. If it's a manual it's time for a clutch.
