    Most synthesizers you can use as long as you have a pair of headphones or an amplifier to hear the sounds. If you want to do recording with it then yes, you need a MIDI cable to connect it to your computer with the appropriate recording software.

    But if you're like me and you just play for fun, then there's no need for one.

    Do i need MIDI to use Synth?

    im thinking about getting a synthasizer machine, and was wondering, do i need to get a midi cable and software to use it? or can i just play around with it until i can save up for like an FL studio or something, because their pretty expensive.
