I have never seen an "Oil Heat LIght"on any motorcycle.I think you are talking about the oil"Pressure"light.and this is serious.Take it to a shop and have an oil pressure test done before you really damage your engine

I recently purchased a 2000 Suzuki KQ 300 and absolutely love the machine, except for one (i hope is) small problem. The oil heat light came on a few times while i was riding so i parked for about an hour and let it cool down. this happened three or four times the whole time i've had it. Then just yesterday i was riding and it came on so i put it in the shed and let it sit for about an hour before i came out, turned the key and the oil heat light was still on. So i turned the key off and turned it back on but this didn't help so i walked around to the front and felt the two tubes that go to the oil cooler. They were warm but not burning hot like they were wen i was riding and it came on. so now i have it parked because i dont want to burn it up. if anyone out there could help me it would be much appreciated.
P.S. right after this happened i changed the oil thinking that might have something to do with it, but it remained on.
