can i use a tmobile unlock code to unlock a at&t phone?

i have a blackberry curve that is for at&t....but i have tmobile service......i know to unlock the phone you can call the company and find out the unlock code through them.....what im asking is, can i use the unlock code that tmobile provides me with, to unlock a at&t phone?
