hey guys , i was just wondering how to obtain FeCl3 (ferric chloride) from FeCl3.6H2O ??
if i just heated a sample of the FeCl3.6H2O would i then be able to make it anhydrous (FeCl3) ?
suggestions are most welcome thanks !!

since its hydrated FeCl3
the best way to get back FeCl3 is by removing the 6 water molecules by heating the mixture/solution water will evaporate and you will get an anhydrous FeCl3
